Shape Animation Work In Progress

For my shape animation I would like to rotate the face of the model and use shapes around her like rectangles that appear to scroll past her.

I also have the idea to have shapes or objects fly out of the models missing face where the clouds are.

One idea I am struggling to incorporate is the variety in texture. I am unsure how to include this requirement within my work. Maybe I could add texture to the rectangles somehow?
