It is a 3D figure covered in mushrooms that bounce and sway as the figure struts forward. I think this piece was made similarly to our landscape project. The 3D human figure would replace the 3D landscape we used, and through the use of collections and particle systems the mushrooms hand grass would cover the figure head to toe. And by using physics the artist was able to make the mushrooms bounce and sway as the figure moved.
One of my favorite traits from this piece is the attitude in the figure's walk and how the grass and mushrooms respond to this movement. I also really enjoy the sound design for the piece; I think it really brings it all together and pushes a surrealist quality in the work. The stunning color and glittery lighting of some of the mushrooms against the dark green grass create a beautiful contrast on the figure. I would also like to mention the figure gives off the vibe of implied soft textures with the round and plump mushrooms and long gentle grass which also contrasts with the implied texture of the background which seems to be a hard reflective surface with smooth dips and ridges. The movement of the camera adds visual interest to what would otherwise be a repetitive loop video of the figure stepping forward.
